MANAGING YOUR MENTAL HEALTH

Each person  is different and I  believe that there is no one- size fits all approach to therapy and my intent is to meet you where you are and hope to provide you with what you need. Therapy can be difficult, fun, exhausting and exciting. My  goal is to help you feel supported through the process with acceptance, warmth and empathy.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

An evidence based form of therapy that increases awareness of the way we think, feel and behave and focuses on those thoughts that are not helpful.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Focuses less on symptoms and more on how to manage our symptoms. Suffering and pain is part of the human experience and being able to accept the way we feel and think will help you stay in the present.

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

Focus on being aware of what you're sensing and feeling in the moment, without interpretation or judgment. Practicing mindfulness involves breathing methods, guided imagery, and other strategies to relax the body and mind.
